Job Description

Overview:We are seeking an Entry Level Draftsperson to support the Program Manager for Wear Technologies, a division of Clearstream.The successful candidate will be required to have experience using AutoCad. This position is based out of Airdrie, AB.What would you be doing

  • Prepare manufacturing drawings from client isometrics, plan layouts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
  • Ensure all documents and data are filed and entered appropriately in tracking system.
  • Check and verify client drawings to conform to specifications and design data before spooling.
  • Operate computer-assisted drafting equipment or a conventional drafting station.
  • Respond quickly to the shop floor’s needs in response to addressing issues that may surface during production regarding the manufacturing spec., Bill of Material, or routings.
Does this sound like you
  • Technical college graduation in Drafting Technology or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Post-secondary certification from an accredited college, university or technical school or equivalent professional certification from an accredited professional association would be an asset.
  • Engineering Design & Drafting would be an asset, as would a 3rd Party certification in Spoolgen and/or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to create spool drawings using Auto-CAD.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Office applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to produce accurate reports/presentations to communicate status of assigned projects/tasks.
  • Sound technical background (hands-on) with logical deductive reasoning approach.
  • Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Professional/mature demeanour under stressful situations.
