If you are looking to work hard in a fast paced and developing environment, you might be the right fit for our team!The Opportunity:The City of Airdrie is seeking a permanent part time (30 hours per week) Intake Administrator to provide exceptional customer service at our front counter, over the phone and for online inquiries related to our community growth applications and payments. This position is the first point of contact for inquiries and service delivery. The Intake Administrator is responsible for providing customer service, processing, reviewing applications, processing payments such as building and development permits and business and animal licenses.Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service at the front counter, over the phone and via email. Forwarding complex inquiries to the appropriate Community Growth team member(s)
  • Data entry, review and verification of building and development permits and business license applications submitted in person, via email, or online
  • Process payments for various applications related to building and development permits and licensing
  • Daily cash intake and day-end balancing
  • Review and verify required information on animal licenses for immediate issuance
  • Schedule and coordinate online building inspections
  • Maintain databases and prepare reports as required
  • Review and process customer requests for property searches
  • Generate mailed and emailed reminders to customers, as required
  • Assist with meeting preparation and events
  • Provide recommendations and support the implementation of revised or new processes, procedures, practices and/or guidelines
You Bring:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer facing service environment, including cash handling experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume data entry environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in municipal government is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal with a proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to quickly align with shifting priorities, work assignments and timelines
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CityView software is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, results-oriented team environment
  • Ability to be a positive influence in a team-setting
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and assist team members with projects and assignments
