Job Description

Taylor Land has an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our already exceptional team as an Intermediate Surface Land Analyst. This role shall be accountable to Team Lead, Freehold Land.Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up hard copy and electronic copy files
  • Conduct all appropriate searches (land titles, conservation, corporate, caveat, coal)
  • Prepare accurate documentation for freehold acquisition and maintenance
  • Ability to use sound judgement to ensure complex projects are delivered on time from project conception to project completion
  • Prepare field file for land agents, ensuring that all checklists and required documentation are included and completed correctly
  • Prepare notifications, line lists, third party requests and road use requests
  • Liaise with other Operators to obtain third party / road use agreements
  • Prepare electronic and hard copy final package deliverables to ensure quality and compliance for clients and approving authorities
  • Accountable for education thru training, mentorship and coaching within the team as required fostering an environment of constant improvement and excellence
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline driven service atmosphere
  • Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting
Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative and regulatory requirements as they relate to the administration of surface land
  • Excellent analytical and interpretive skills and demonstrated problem solving skills, and an aptitude for research
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to participate effectively in a dynamic team environment and to establish positive relationships within all aspects of the business
  • Customer service focused and keen interest in delivering results in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills
Qualifications
  • Broker experience is required
  • 3-5 years surface land administration experience
  • Related post-secondary education
  • Working knowledge of surface land procedures and relevant land legislation and regulation
  • Knowledge of Integrity Dig programs; linear project work; AUC, AER and CER regulations and processes
  • Alberta and Saskatchewan freehold experience
  • Commissioner of Oaths for Alberta
  • Experience with Urban Acquisition considered an asset
