Who we are: Chris and Melissa Souto hail from the Okanagan Valley and are now based in Airdrie, AB. Growing up on their family orchard in BC, they have always had a passion for farming and growing quality products. Souto Farms Local Market has brought that passion to Alberta farmers markets for the last 10+ years. When you bite into an apple, peach, or pear, know that you are supporting a family-run Canadian business that meets the needs of today without compromising future generations.The Local Market: The Souto Farms Local Market is located just outside Airdrie and is a one-stop shop for your local favorites. We support over 40 vendors, whose products include: Alberta and BC grown fruits and vegetables, bread, milk, cheese, meat, frozen meals, baked goods, ice cream, chocolates, candy, popcorn, juice, soda, and more. Throughout the summer we will have a variety of events, activities, and food trucks the whole family can enjoy.Role Description: The Local Market Manager is one of our greatest brand ambassadors and plays a key role in our business. They are exceptional at creating a sense of community by developing authentic relationships with our team and customers. This person leads and coaches through the companys core values and delivers forward-thinking solutions to deliver on our short and long-term business goals.Role Responsibilities:

  • Owning business metrics through enrolling and supporting the team.
  • Prioritizing tasks and making in-the-moment adjustments where needed.
  • Leading the planning and implementation of market promotions and sale strategies.
  • Inventory management; ordering, restocking, display management, and pricing.
  • Completion of additional projects, duties, and assignments, as needed/requested.
Must Haves:

  • You lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
  • You communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
Work Hours:
  • Full time, Thursday - Sunday (7:00am-7:00pm)
  • Overtime paid for hours worked over 44/week
  • Possibility to work Wednesday, as needed.
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $20.00-$25.00 per hourAdditional pay:
