Job Description

Job DescriptionAirdrie Medical Clinic is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Medicine Technician.Responsibilities and Duties- Working with companies set up within our Occupational Health Program and their injured workers- Audio and PFT testing- Drug testing - Urine and Salvia (DOT/nDOT)- Manage multi line phone system, and book appointments- Able to keep up with a fast-paced busy medical clinic- Open and close the clinic- Able to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, or occasional weekends- Scan documents into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and collect payments using Wolf EMR- Tracks patient referrals- Completes patient call-backs, appointment reminder calls, and appointment re-booking for no-shows- Greet patients, assist in completing health history forms, show patients to consultation rooms- Assist physicians in tasks- prepare rooms for procedures- Operates office equipment such as voicemail, photocopiers, fax machines, scanners, computer (Windows XP and/or Windows 7)Qualifications and Skills- Audio, PFT and Drug testing experience would be an asset but training wouldbe given to the right candidate.- High school diploma or equivalent with a related post-secondary certificate or diploma (Medical Office Assistant, Health Information Office Assistant, or similar) is required- Minimum of one (1) years of medical office related experience is required.- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers including MS Office (2007 and 2010 versions of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is requiredJob Type: Full-timeApplication QuestionsYou have requested that Indeed ask candidates the following questions:
