Job Description

Are you looking for Packaging work Then look no further!Express Employment is recruiting for Packaging Technicians on behalf of our client located close to Calgary, AB west of Airdrie. Our client is in the CANNABIS Industry.THE LOCATION IS NOT TRANSIT ACCESSIBLEAvailable Shift - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMResponsibilities:

  • Packaging of bulk products and consumer-packaged goods
  • Operation of packaging and labelling equipment ( scales, automated labelling equipment, bag sealers and induction sealers)
  • Adhere to all Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including hygiene, sanitization, health & safety policies, to ensure the minimization of contamination risk.
  • Ensure packaging equipment and machinery is in good operating condition prior to use
  • Physically able to lift loads up to 30lbs
  • Meet or exceed safety requirements
  • Assist with various other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and repetitive environment.
  • Attention to detail, hygiene, and sanitization practices.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing or sitting
  • Valid WHMIS Certificate
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Maintain productivity to achieve production targets
  • Over the age of 18 years.
  • Prior cannabis industry experience in Canada is an asset.
  • Wear proper PPE: Steel toed boots, face mask, hair net.
  • Own transportation or reliable carpool
Job Type: CasualSalary: $18.50 per hourFlexible Language Requirement:
  • French not required
Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Airdrie, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
