Job Description

Ideasource Recognition & Rewards is HIRING!Job Title: Product AssociateAre you an expert in online shopping and getting great deals Are you interested in finding new products and sourcing them If so, then you are the perfect person to join us and we would love to have you become our product specialist superstar in Airdrie!What matters to us is that you’re tech savvy, can work independently, and that you have strong attention to detail. We are an established Airdrie business specializing in merchandise-based corporate recognition programs since 2000.Skills Required:

  • Solid data management experience
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Quick learner and self motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Collaborative and positive attitude
  • Adept at multitasking
  • Confident in their ability to learn and complete a multitude of duties quickly and efficiently
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and expand responsibility and skills over time
  • Experience with comparison shopping and purchasing items over the internet
  • Interest and proficiency in following and identifying retail trends in the marketplace is an asset.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain online product catalogue
  • Monitor costs and ensure target profit margins are maintained
  • Coordinate with vendors to source products
  • Identify alternate products and vendors
  • Offer product substitutions where necessary
  • Update programs with replacements as items leave
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts
  • Assist other team members with product related inquiries
  • Assist with entering PO’s in accounting software and submitting it to vendors
  • Varied database related tasks
*Requirements:
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office; some certification would be an asset
  • Open minded to learn new skills with strong attention to detail
