Proterra Energy Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team of professionals based out of Airdrie, AB. You will be part of our Airdrie Office, working with a team to execute multiple tank cleaning work scopes on various operating sites across Canada.In this position you will be a key contributor to the overall success of our projects and maintaining our corporate Standard of Excellence. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organization of key client projects, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are operated smoothly and in a timely manner. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization, timeline, and budget. With a “safety first” approach, this position is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective product removal and cleaning of large-scale petroleum storage tanks. The successful candidates will be driven, results-orientated and team players.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure that all projects are completed on-time, within scope and within budgetDeveloping project scopes and objectives.Ensure resource availability and allocationDevelop a detailed project plan to track progressUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costsMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniquesReport and escalate to management as neededManage the relationship with the clientPerform risk management to minimize project risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationThe position will require periodic travel to various locations across Canada to provide oversight and training of field engineers on job sites, as well as to audit construction work packages throughout the completion of work.Job Requirements5 + years experience in the Construction/ Oil & Gas industryBachelor’s Degree preferred (specifically in Engineering or Business is an asset)Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector.Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and procedures and always acting in a safe manner.Oversees the preparation and execution of cleaning activities at customer facilities.Completes all required paperwork, including job reports/tickets, LEMs, billing, safety forms, drivers log, KPI’s, Journey Management and other related items.Liaison between Operations and Client. Communicates with and reports to Operations to ensure contractual obligations are met, including preparing and submitting project progression status reports and ensuring change orders are completed, communicated, and executed before any additional work is performed.Assists with training and mentorship of field employees.Provides feedback of field service employees to HR regarding performance evaluations for individuals to whom this position has direct supervision.The ability and discipline to consistently meet deadlines.We thank all those interested in joining the Proterra Energy Solutions Inc. team; however only those that meet the minimum job qualifications will be considered for this role.
