We’re a place where you just might be a perfect fit.Our Team:To provide five safe, quality indoor ice surfaces to Airdrie citizens, for the purposes of recreation, wellness, and local organized sport.The Opportunity:This is an entry level position within the Arena Operations department. We are looking to fill three (3) part time positions for the Seasonal Arena Attendants until May of 2022.Accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the general everyday cleaning and sanitization of the facility, including:

  • Sanitizing washrooms, dressing rooms, official’s rooms, player boxes, penalty boxes and public areas within the facility
  • Cleaning glass partitions, windows and affiliated fixtures
  • Sweeping/mopping floors
  • Re-stocking janitorial supplies to dispensers
  • Attending to seating areas is required
  • Assisting the Arena Operator with ice maintenance duties
  • Some snow/ice shoveling is a regular occurrence during shifts
You Bring:
  • A minimum age of 18 years is required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification required within three months of hire, at the employees own cost
  • Previous experience working in an ice hockey environment would be considered an asset
  • A keen awareness for working safely
  • Ability to communicate effectively and offer excellent customer service to visitors and staff
  • Enjoy being part of a team striving to excel in their delivery of exceptional facilities and service to the citizens of Airdrie
  • Some knowledge of operating powered janitorial equipment would be an asset

Arena Attendants will be expected to commit to a minimum of one evening shift and one weekend every two weeks.Successful candidates must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and will be required to regularly lift, bend, and kneel.
