Job Description

Job descriptionThe Service Coordinator of GN Corporations Inc. is responsible for creating departmental processes for the GN Corporations Inc. Service Department. This position is a critical role within the service department in ensuring the departments goals, core values and objectives remain in line with the Company’s overall structure. The Service Coordinator will report and work closely with the Service Manager.Specific Functions

  • Creating and ensuring the proper execution of the preventative maintenance schedule for all facility related equipment and assets.
  • Management and continued monitoring of all subcontracted services for the Company
  • ERP Super User – Gain a complex understanding of the current ERP system and will manage its use accordingly. Creating and incorporating new procedures in order to maximize the use and efficiency of the Company’s operations.
  • Power BI Super User – Gain a complex understanding of the Power BI system, utilize skill and expertise in order to generate the operational data for on demand reporting requirements
  • Manage and administer all administrative tasks as it relates to supporting the Service Department. This will include but not be limited to the creation of Purchase Order Requests, Service Repair Order creations, Incident creations and tracking etc.
  • The Service Coordinator is expected to maintain a high level of confidence in the Service Department and become the focal point for operational excellence, using skill and experience to apply methodical and strategic improvements to help in the overall success of GN Corporations
International Standards ProficienciesIn addition to GN Corporations Inc. corporate requirements and recommended industry practices, it is expected that the candidate gains a keen understanding of the following regulatory and international standards requirements:Additional Responsibilities and Duties
  • Occupational Health and Safety – Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. Health and Safety policy as well as be responsible for his/her own health and safety at work. Responsible to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission. o Responsible for the correct use protective clothing and equipment as provided by GN Corporations Inc. and for guarding against misuse or damage to such equipment. o Responsible for reporting any hazardous situations arising in the workplace that cannot be self-corrected, or injury incurred during work, no matter how minor. o Responsible for avoiding injury resulting from manual handling tasks associated with his/her employment, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and appropriate manual handling techniques.
  • Industry Standards and Regulations – Be familiar with all relevant industry standards, recommended practices and regulations. Monitor self-compliance with company, industry, environment and government requirements as well as promote their acceptance in all aspects of company business.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Proficiencies within ERP Systems. Infor product is preferred.
  • Experience generating Power BI reports from inception
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing facility experience
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job which may include the requirement to lift up to 50lb
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field. Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations would be an asset.
