Job Description

The position is located at our EMCO location in Airdrie, AB. There is a wide range of career opportunities available to pursue upon completion.EMCO’s Strategic Development Program teaches new teammates with little-to-no industry experience every aspect of the business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between. Successful graduates of the program have continued their EMCO careers into various positions such as senior account management, technical sales, purchasing, operations and more.Duties and Responsibilities:Phase 1 – Warehouse Logistics– Learn the products we sell, how to efficiently warehouse and handle plumbing products, learn how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support. This phase will consist of learning delivery routes, receiving and putting away stock.Phase 2 – Operations – Get involved in our customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and much more.Phase 3 – Inside Sales/Project Management – Go from helping customers with various product and service issues to managing large-scale projects.Phase 4 – Outside Sales/Account Management – Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.Phase 5 – To be determined by you.Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
  • Work well in a team-based environment
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
