Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference As a Supply Chain Manager at Westgen, you can help empower the energy evolution. We believe that society needs practical technology that can be deployed at scale to address emissions today. You will be instrumental in producing Westgen’s EPOD, a solar-hybrid power generation system that eliminates methane venting from pneumatic systems, reducing emissions by up to 99.5%.The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and monitoring Westgen’s supply chain strategy. This role is responsible for improving supply chain efficiencies and reducing costs while securing high-quality material for the company.The responsibilities of the Supply Manager include:

  • Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establishing performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
  • Maintaining the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Analyzing current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Assessing the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; making recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Negotiating prices for raw materials and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Participating as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Acting as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
  • Monitoring the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifying and qualifying new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field required;
  • Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
