In RVS, the best interest of students is at the center of every decision.The OpportunityRVS invites applications for three, temporary, full-time (40 hrs/wk) Building Operator II Floater Position(s) to service the Airdrie, Chestermere and Cochrane Areas (based on the needs of the division - mornings or afternoons must be flexible); starting immediately and ending August 31, 2022.Responsibilities IncludeEngages actively in janitorial duties, including cleaning of the school and the grounds (90% of this position is cleaning)Reports any defects, damages, or loss of school property to the Head Building OperatorMay coordinate cleaning duties of caretakersEnsures temperatures in the school building are maintained during the shiftChecks on the proper operation of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; reports any problems promptly to the Head Building OperatorSecurity duties as assignedEducation/Experience1-3 years previous caretaking experienceValid Building Operator B Ticket or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent is an assetExperience with building HVAC systems is an assetExperience in a supervisory roleReliable transportationRocky View Schools Benefits6% vacation payAs this is a temporary position there is no benefits or sick time for this positionFree parkingPre-employment RequirementsThe successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employmentProof of qualifications/education as required by the positionOpen to: Internal and External applicantsSalary: Starting hourly rate $23.41How to ApplyWe request all applications be placed through http://rockyview.simplication.com/.
