Job Description

The Traffic Technician will be responsible for setting up, taking down and maintaining traffic accommodations in work zones. The ideal candidate is a team player and a resourceful problem solver who is eager to go beyond routine duties to accomplish tasks.Key Responsibilities

  • Execute traffic control in full accordance with plans, specifications, scheduling, client’s direction and provincial or local regulations related to traffic control
  • Deliver, set-up, takedown and maintain traffic control devices to provincial/ local specifications
  • Identify any potential hazard on site and implement measures to prevent incidents
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and other traffic equipment (message boards, traffic lights, arrow boards, etc.)
  • Perform other tasks as directed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year work experience within traffic control capacity
  • Comfortable working in high traffic environments, around heavy equipment, open excavation and/or exposed utility
  • Willing to work in a fast paced work environment exposed to all weather elements
  • Sound understanding of safety regulations
  • Dependable and able to work a variety of shifts
  • Must have valid CSTS 2020, Drivers License and clean drivers abstract
  • Personal vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license required
  • Hard working

Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: 5 monthsSalary: $22.00-$30.00 per hourAdditional pay:
