Title Slot TechnicianProfile Union, Non-Tipping, Category 2Department Slot OperationsStarting Rate $20.59Company OverviewOne Toronto Gaming is a Partnership formed by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation(TSX:GC) ( #39;Great Canadian #39;) and Brookfield Business Partners L.P. (NYSE:BBU)(TSX:BBU.UN) ( #39;Brookfield Business Partners #39;) (together the “corporate Partners”) to operate certain gaming facilities in the Greater Toronto Area (the #39;GTA Bundle #39;).The GTA Bundle is the largest award by the OLG as part of the modernization of its casino operations. In 2016, its three former facilities, OLG Slots at Woodbine, OLG Slots at Ajax Downs and Great Blue Heron Casino generated gross gaming revenue of over $1 billion.These facilities now have a combination of over 5,400 slot machines, 160 live table games and employ more than 2,800 team members.The Partnership brings considerable gaming, urban redevelopment and hospitality expertise to the operations and is strategically repositioning the GTA Bundle. This development (subject to ongoing approvals) and modernization will include integrated property expansions that will enhance the gaming offerings to service the GTA market. It will also include leading world-class amenities consisting of state-of-the-art conference facilities, hotels and premier entertainment venues.Position Summary Under the direction of the Slot Technician Supervisor, this position will be responsible for repairing, servicing and maintaining slot machines to minimize down time and loss of revenue to the casino in a timely manner.Slot Technicians must adhere to company policies and procedures and the Internal Control Manual of the Slot Technical Department in order to maintain the integrity of the games and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.Key Accountabilities:

  • Service and repairs slot machines.
  • Perform Slot Machine Moves, Conversions, Game installs, and other slot projects as assigned and in conjunction with all applicable Alcohol and Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations and Casino internal controls.
  • Set up game options and tests including hardware, firmware and system interfaces, to include confirmation that all are accurate and functional.
  • Daily computer use including Microsoft office, in-house slot management programs and others as needed.
  • Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Assist guests with any needs or concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Slot Projects will require travel to other One Toronto locations.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics.
  • 1+ years’ hands on working experience in a Slot Operations or Electronics area.
  • Fine Pitch Soldering
  • ICT, SMT and Wave Soldering
  • PCB Fault Finding and Debugging
  • Chip Component Repair
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • Must be people-focused and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proactive and solution oriented with a drive to succeed;
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, active listening and teamwork skills;
Work Environment Considerations
  • Fast paced with multiple priorities
  • This position requires repetitive lifting approximately over 40lbs; including pushing, pulling, standing, bending, stooping etc.
  • Possibility of working in confined spaces and exposure to dust
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.

Licensing and Certification RequirementsPermanent employment is dependent upon the authorization and continued approval of the Provincial/State Regulatory Bodies. New employees will complete an application and will begin work after regulatory approval is granted. Existing team members will reapply as necessary, and continuing work will be dependent upon successful reapplication.For positions that require additional certification, the appropriate level of certification will be maintained.
