Company descriptionArborg Bifrost Parks and Recreation Commission is located in the Town of Arborg and is committed in providing quality recreation facilities for residents and all user groups. The Recreation Commission provides an great workplace atmosphere, training opportunities, along with municipal benefits.Job descriptionFACILITY ATTENDANTThis position has the possibility of becoming a full time opportunity, the successful candidate should be able to perform the following duties:*work weekdays, weekends, and evenings*able to stand/walk for periods of time, able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds occasionally*maintain a clean work environment for staff and users, perform daily custodial duties such as, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, wiping (tables, chairs, benches, windows, washrooms, etc) in recreation facilities.*good communicator, works well with others, can work with minimal supervision, have wide range of skills to perform a maintenance duties at facilities (such as fix drywall, etc).*mechanically inclined; able to fix/repair and perform daily maintenance on equipment such as: lawn mower, tractor, zamboni, grass trimmer, etc. Able to properly use power tools such skil saws, grinder, drills, etc. to properly maintain recreation facilities.*have knowledge of arena and curling rink ice making and maintenance, maintenance of sports fields, pools, and parks. Training will be provided if required.*ideal candidate will have Power Engineer Certificate (training may be provided).Part-time hours: 30-40 per weekApplication deadline: 2021-11-19Expected start date: 2021-12-01Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: $14.00-$18.00 per hourAdditional pay:
