Reports to: EIS Program DirectorResponsibilities: 1. Client Managementa. Intake, assessment, one-on-one counselling and creating solution focused action plans for clients.b. Ensure clients sign a release of information form and that the form is filed in an orderly and accessible manner.c. Assist with completion of applications forms for MB Health, Social Insurance, Child Tax Benefits, etc.d. Provide information and orientation regarding life in Canada, customs, laws, health and education systems, housing and employment, etc.e. Refer clients to other community services as required.f. Provide clients with ongoing support in the community during the settlement process.g. Follow up on clients based on previous appointments and address any new needs.h. Maintain client confidentiality at all times.i. Follow organizational standards and regulations during interactions with clients and when working on behalf of the organization.j. Promote all programs and services offered by EIS to each client.2. Administrationa. Provide a written monthly summary report to the Program Director.b. Maintain and update client files as required by the funder.c. Assist in updating settlement resources on an ongoing basis.d. Provide feedback on potential future program and services.e. Provide front desk support as the backup receptionist.f. Participate in team meetings; staff meetings as required.g. Participate in the distribution, collection, and analysis of participant surveys and other evaluation and tracking procedures3. Community Liaisona. Direct clients and the greater community to translation and interpretation services.b. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and network.c. Monthly (or as required) visits to Interlake communitiesd. Develop partnerships with service providers and with ethno-cultural groups in the community to ensure access to programs and supports and to prevent duplication of services.e. Attend immigrant community events and greater community events when appropriate/approved by supervisor.f. Identify community educational opportunities EIS could facilitate as identified by immigrant communities or the greater community.g. Working in collaboration with EIS Volunteer & Integration Coordinator for events, workshops etc.Job Type: Fixed term contractSalary: $18.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule:
