Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedAs an Asphalt Distributor Truck Operator, You Will:

  • Work on various job sites across Eastern Ontario
  • Ensure timely deliveries
  • Assist with loading/unloading of trucks
  • Receive and relay information from/to the Supervisor daily
  • Record accurate measurements of emulsion sprayed in meters squared (m2) per road
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and requirements to maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR)
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and condition of vehicles daily (inspect tires, lights, brakes etc.) as per Miller Standards and MTO Regulations
  • HOS compliance mandatory (Logbooks)
  • Complete CVOR related paperwork
  • Maintain the Distributor Truck spray equipment as required (training provided)
What Youll Bring:
  • Experience with Liquid Handling, WHMIS/Dangerous Goods certification, an asset
  • Standard Transmission driving experience required
  • Valid Driver’s License, Class D-Z License required
  • Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract
  • Able to perform manual labour, lift 23kg/50lbs and handle 20ft of hose
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, days, nights, and weekends as assigned
  • Willingness to travel for work, and available to work out of town as needed
  • Must have daily access to a vehicle to support the travel requirements of this position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Basic computer knowledge, and mathematical skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience would be an asset
