Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Porter’s role is to carry out janitorial tasks according to a written sanitation program in order to maintain GMP compliance within the plant and to perform other duties as required. Please note: this is a temporary full-time role.ResponsibilitiesCarry out tasks associated with the Sanitation Program according to the site’s Sanitation ManualClean the general plant – sweep/vacuum/mop, offices, washrooms, change rooms, and warehouseMaintain the lunchroom on a daily basis (making coffee/tea, dishes, etc.)Waste removal – pharmaceutical waste pick-up, garbage, recyclingWork in co-operation with plant securityEscort contractors as requiredBe flexible to cover various shifts and be available for on call duties as neededOther duties as requiredQualificationsHigh School DiplomaPrevious janitorial experience is an assetKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices guidelinesAbility to follow written proceduresGood organizational skillsAbility to work independently on a rotating shiftFirst Aid certification is an asset.
