Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedAs a Pulverizer – Equipment Operator, You Will:

  • Be responsible for the setting up and safe operation of the pulverizing machine
  • Receive and relay information from/to the Supervisor daily
  • Record accurate measurements of pulverized area in meters squared (m2) per road
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and requirements to maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR)
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and condition of vehicles daily (inspect tires, lights, brakes etc.) as per Miller Standards and MTO Regulations
  • Maintain site cleanliness
  • Maintain the Pulverizer equipment as required (training provided)
  • Order delivery of fuel and organize float requirements
  • Payroll and Expenses completed electronically
What Youll Bring:
  • Heavy equipment experience, an asset (Willing to train)
  • Basic computer knowledge, tablet experience an asset
  • Valid G Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 23 kg
  • Work on various job sites across Eastern Ontario
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, nights and weekends as assigned
  • Must be available to work out of town as needed
  • Must have own transportation to and from office
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work with contractors on site
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to plan and organize job tasks on site
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Mechanically inclined, perform routine maintenance on equipment (holders and teeth)
