Position CLERK I (Term: May 1 – July 17, 2021)Department GARDEN CENTRE (HARDWARE DEPARTMENT)Location AssiniboiaResponsibilitiesProvide customer service to customers, by assisting customers, and providing information and product knowledge, which is maintained through being dependable for all scheduled shifts and handling of customer complaints and providing warranty service in a professional manner, as per Southland Co-operative policies and procedures.Provide packaging and customer carry out of products.To be familiar with and adhere to Southland Co-op policies and procedures.To receive, price, stock and rotate inventory within the greenhouse.Provide proper care for plants, shrubs, trees and stock.Provide knowledge and advice to customers on proper care, handling and planting of trees and shrubs.Adhere to company loss prevention, security, and safety policies and procedures.RequirementsAble to work a variety of shifts.Strong computer skills.Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing & energetic personality.A desire and ability to work with the public with excellent customer service skills.Physically able to do heavy lifting.Able to work outdoors.Ability to multi-task.A valid driver’s license.Knowledge of plants, shrubs and tree care and planting is an asset.Reports to Hardware Manager
