Job Description

Position YARD CLERK – Student/CasualDepartment LUMBERLocation AssiniboiaResponsibilities

  • To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sales of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
  • To receive merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
  • To operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • To deliver product as directed by the manager.
  • To assist in lumber and hardware areas of the store as needed.
Requirements
  • 1. Have a positive, professional approach and attitude.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts.
  • A pleasant and out-going personality
  • A desire and ability to work with the public
  • Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing and kneeling
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification would be an asset.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment testing as per Southland’s Alcohol & Substance Policy
