Job Description

About Us:Crescent Oral Surgery is a busy, fast paced Oral and Maxillofacial surgical clinic providing trusted care to our patients. We are looking for a Dental Assistant Level II to work at our Aurora location.Travel to the Toronto and Richmond Hill practices may be requiredSchedule: Full-Time - 28 to 40 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Hours vary based on the need of the business

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting surgeons in surgery;
  • Working alongside with doctors to create and follow through with treatment plans and helping with necessary charting and follow-up with DDS’s;
  • Educating patients and families on procedures and pre and post-op instructions;
  • Preparing procedure trays for daily procedures;
  • Sterilizing instruments and equipment;
  • Taking PANS/CEPHS;
  • Help keep flow of the day going with clinical staff as per schedule;
  • Cleaning and turnover of rooms between patients;
  • Provide patient information and treatment plans to administrators for billing;
  • Accompanying patients to consult and treatment rooms as necessary;
  • Liaise with DDS’s who contact the clinic with questions/concerns as needed
  • Stocking of rooms;
  • Set up and preparation of rooms for scheduled procedures;
  • Ordering supplies for clinical area as needed;
  • Following the surgeons as needed, including but not limited to assistance in preparation of letters
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Dental Assistant Level II program
  • NDAEB certified
  • HARP certified
  • Current CPR or willing to obtain
  • 2-3 years of previous experience working as a Dental Assistant required
  • Previous experience working in an oral surgery practice highly preferred
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Great team work skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Comfortable working flexible hours
  • Able to travel between offices
