What You #39;ll Do:

  • Be responsible for leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the development and execution of manufacturing system strategic objectives.
  • Assures that all quality requirements, engineering testing requirementsamp; standards are included in all work and/or working instructions, testing procedures and other documentations.
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to investigate root cause and come up with correction, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring on junior team memberamp; develop cross-functional project leadership talent.
  • Lead cross-functional team to drive cost reduction during product life cycle.
  • Recommend product changes/improvements to Design Engineers based upon PFMEA’s and manufacturability, determine effectivity of changes and assure compliance to such. Observe/monitor new technologies, competitors, industry trends and report to management.
  • Participate in early new product development activities as Operations Management Representative; ensure Design for Manufacturability and cost effective.
  • Support necessary personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits.
  • Support customer quotation and technical inquire.
  • Occasionally business travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You #39;ll Bring:
  • Completion of a Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a low volume, high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD amp;T)
  • Solid knowledge in hardware/software test or validation methodology and proficient documentation capability, including test report, RCA (Root cause analysis) etc.
  • Good experience of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) is an asset
  • Good knowledge of ERP software, BOM structures, routings, Engineering Change process and non-conforming process.
  • Project management/coordination experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills (including AutoCAD/Solid Works – latest version, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Visio)
  • Strong detail oriented and result oriented mind-set.
  • Clear thinking, strong planning and organizational and interpersonalamp; communication skill
  • Multi project management skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
  • Innovative problem solver, strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Flexibility (adaptability and ability to make decisions quickly)
