Purpose:The purpose of the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as well as leading Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP); setting project goals, monitoring objectives and ensuring that timelines are met and roadblocks are eliminated.Job Summary:As the Project Engineer, you will be expected to liaise with customers and provide support on various project management issues. Completion of requisitions for capital, tooling and any other required materials for assigned projects. You will work closely with suppliers in order to meet project goals and deadlines, following up on all aspects of a given project from start to finish.Job Responsibilities:Planamp; drive strategic prioritiesEnsure the strategy (customer requirements /timeline / milestones) is well communicated with stakeholders for alignment and meeting objectivesKey point of contact to the client #39;s program leader/technical counterpartAssist in coordination of major program functions as outlined in Axiom Plastics APQP process – 5 phase - (program plan / prototype-part development / process development / product and process validation / feedback assessment and corrective actions)Monitor and manages all key dates and timing charts as requiredAssist in facilitation of program/project status meetings with project teamsamp; account steering teamsIdentify roadblocks and recommend appropriate resolutionsManage information both externally (customer) and internally (Axiom Plastics) as required by each projectResponsible for timely communication of information and customer interactionAssist in ensuring successful program launch – on timeamp; on budgetEnsure to keep management updated on program status and communicate escalations as requiredAssist with CI (Continuous Improvement) Initiatives for current systems and processesEnsure compliance of IATF systems and proceduresAdditional Duties as assignedQualifications:Post-secondary degree or diploma in related fieldMinimum 1 to 2 years of experience in program/project management (within the automotive industry)Impeccable oral and written communicationamp; presentation skills, with the ability to interface with senior managementStrong relationship-building skills (internalamp; external stakeholders)Customer advocate- able to effectively communicate client needs to the organizationProactive view to identifyingamp; driving financial benefits for our clientsProven successful launches of previous programs (on timeamp; on budget)Ability to keep customers and program on track with effective conflict resolutionAbility to think and execute strategically and is results-orientedSelf-motivated individual with a strong attention to detailDevelop long-term strategies for key accounts that align with corporate mandateProficient with MS ProjectExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task as requiredExperience with PPAP documentation and FMEA analysis is an assetExperience in the Automotive Industry is an asset Quality Systems Requirements:Healthamp; Safety Policy / Disciplinary Policy / Violenceamp; Harassment PolicyQuality PolicyProcess MapsAPQP standards and proceduresPPAP standardQuality Procedures and Work InstructionsReporting to: Business Unit Manager
