Job Description

About Company:True North Cannabis Co. is an emerging Cannabis retailer that believes in providing our clients with high-end, affordable cannabis and cannabis accessories across Ontario.About Position:Reporting to the General Manager, Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and ensuring the store objectives are achieved.Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Review and update product displays to ensure the customer experience reflects available product and sales priorities
  • Maintain an efficient standardized back of house lay-out to maximize filling efficiency, ease of re-stocking, ease of inventory counting, and control of shrink
  • Ensures that backroom inventory management are to standard at all times
  • Ensure the exterior of the store, and customer entrance area is clean and presented as new every day
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Proactively engages customers with increased focus during peak traffic times
  • Ensures that exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectation
  • Ensures employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
  • Answers inquiries and resolve customer complaints according to guidelines
  • Demonstrates product knowledge and familiarity with the location of products throughout the store
  • Empowers employees to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain control of store inventory file in POS system
  • Ensure POS transactions and end of day cash reconciliation is accurate and follow-up and any discrepancies
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory/management role
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Post-secondary education in Business Accounting courses or equivalent will be considered an asset
  • Support all Corporate programs within the business
  • Proven ability to lead a team of 5+ team members
  • Prior work experience in a regulated environment is a definite asset (LCBO, Tobacco, Gaming)
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the Cannabis industry would be considered an asset
  • Desire and ability to develop a positive in-depth understanding of cannabis
  • Must be enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, outgoing, and a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to analyze data to make decisions
  • Must have excellent attendance and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle cash, and operate a POS register
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Available to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
