Job Description

  • Setup and run the powder paint system to properly paint product using setup parameters and experience
  • Ensure required quality standards and measurements are met
  • Complete required inventory transactions, counts, and inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required
  • Ensure proper job costing information is entered into the time and attendance system
  • Liaising with the employees in the immediate area so as to ensure that a quality product is produced, on time, per specifications, at a minimum cost
  • This position also requires the ability to operate the;
    • Secondary Parts Line
    • Cold Formed Structural Line
    • Cold Formed Structural Saw
  • Uses or operates equipment in a safe manner
  • Reports defects in equipment
  • Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations
  • Reports any known workplace hazards or contraventions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act to their supervisor or employer
  • Is aware of their rights under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including the right to refuse unsafe work and the right to know about any potential hazards to which they may be exposed in the workplace.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent as a minimum
  • Maintain a level of education necessary to keep pace with new manufacturing technology and company requirements
  • Knowledge of required software systems (Visual, Roll Former Interface, etc)
  • Reading and interpreting bills and drawings
  • Understanding material requirements and characteristics (thickness, width, sweep, camber, etc)
  • Good communication skills
  • Work well with other people
