As we continue to expand, our team members are offered opportunities to professionally develop, learn new abilities and pursue projects that excite them.If you want to work for a company that listens and is dedicated to your progress this may be your next career move!Job DescriptionReporting to the Production Manager the Production Supervisor is expected to manage all aspects of the plant for their shift; including production, planning activities, training and employees. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing of the daily production operations while ensuring that all safety procedures are followed and that all production goals are met.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient management of operations of a multiple shift production facility.
  • Optimize efficiency, productivity and equipment performance to meet objectives.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and identify potential problems.
  • Act as a leader in terms of continuous improvement and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with Standards and OperationProcedures (SOP’s).
  • Analyze data drawn from production reports to identify possible improvements, reduce losses and the number of breakdowns as well as improve efficiency.
  • Communicate, implement and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Support the company business plan.
  • Motivate employees, be a positive source of influence, and lead by example;
  • Encourage autonomous work by empowering employees.
  • Use a training plan and ensure succession planning.
  • Ensure the product quality standards are met through inspections and material testing procedures.
  • Help in managing capital improvement projects including design, engineering, scheduling, purchasing, budgets and installation.
  • Help in administering/ reinforcing the company safety program while ensuring compliance with required training and safety procedures.
  • Oversee the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner, accurately track and record KPI’s, troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Helps in maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develop personnel growth opportunities by coaching/ mentoring employees verbally and written documentation.
  • Professionally resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending ethical plan of action.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least 2+ years of work experience as Supervisor/ Leader in a production/ manufacturing
  • environment (Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the
  • industry).
  • High School Diploma required - a Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent proven leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to develop and maintain excellent business relations both
  • internally and externally.
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong abilities in planning, organizing, project management, and problem solving;
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems;
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
