Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the preferred candidate will be based in Balzac, Alberta and will work closely with Balzac Power Station team.E/I team members provide day to day E/I technical support for plant operations and are actively involved in various company initiatives such as Asset Integrity, EQMP, and Reliability Program.You will also be responsible for:Plan, schedule and execute various E/I maintenance related activities to ensure facility availability and reliability is maximized.Troubleshoot and rectify equipment/system abnormalities in a timely manner.Prioritize daily activities with Operations and other Maintenance staff.Liaise with outsourced E/I specialty contractors as necessary to ensure they provide the required services, materials, and overall support that the facility requires.Develop, review, and revise E/I maintenance procedures and processes.Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans/programs for E/I related equipment and systems.Provide support for the Materials Coordinator to ensure the spare parts inventory (particularly critical spares) is maintained properly.Ensure the facility is in compliance with applicable E/I Codes and Standards.Participate in Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR’s) to verify completeness and fitness for service.Maintain compliance with applicable HSE/PSM requirements.Provide support for the development, measurement and improvement of KPI related targets.Champion continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, availability and reliability.Plan and coordinate as necessary, with various functional groups, to effectively execute turnaround maintenance and project/construction related activities.Participate in on-call schedule with other E/I Craftsman.UPS, CEMS, DCS, PLC and SCADA maintenance.E/I support for the Management of Change process.Participate in morning and weekly planning meetings.Understand and comply with CNOOC International’s Electrical Quality Management Plan.Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.Who are we looking forWe are interested in hearing from candidates with the following:10 years Oil and Gas or Power Generation industry experience, preferably within a senior maintenance and/or commissioning/start-up role;Journeyman Electrician and Instrument Technician Certifications are required;Proficient computer skills including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);Proficient Maintenance Management Program skills (preferably with a strong SAP background);Honeywell DCS and Equipment Specific Control/Safety System (e.g. AB PLC’s, Woodward 505 etc.) experience would be considered a definite asset;Strong understanding of electrical generation and distribution equipment/systems;Ability to troubleshoot and repair various field and control room/rack room devices and equipment;Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills;An understanding of Process Safety Management/Health, Safety and Environment principles is also considered essential.Closing StatementAll positions require background checks which could include:Criminal police record checkEducation verificationCredential verificationAll Safety Sensitive positions could include:Drug & Alcohol testingPre-access medical testingDrivers’ Abstract for last 3 years
