Your Opportunity:This opportunity is a temporary full time position within HR Business Partnerships supporting the North Zone. Human Resources Business Partnerships is a team within the People, Legal and Privacy portfolio dedicated to supporting people who support patient care. The Human Resources (HR) Advisor will support clients by coordinating, advising and if necessary, providing direction on a variety of human resource functions and related operations. The HR Advisor works with a high degree of independence and in concert with HR specialists to plan and implement HR processes in line with policies, legislation and collective agreements. This position is negotiable to be based out of Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Smoky Lake, Westlock or Spruce Grove with remote/hybrid work arrangements available.Description:This opportunity is a temporary full time position within HR Business Partnerships supporting the North Zone, allowing you a chance to explore an HR Advisor role within Northern Alberta. As a HR Advisor, HR Business Partnerships - North Zone you will be responsible for providing human resources advice and support to AHS management staff and employees, within an assigned geographical area. You will support clients by coordinating, advising and educating on a variety of functions including human resources strategic planning; organizational design and development; performance management; employee and labour relations; collective agreement and employment policy interpretation; grievance management; compensation and job evaluation; recruitment and selection; workforce planning and capacity initiatives; ability management; and employee health and wellness. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests including engagement of HR specialists as required. As much of this work is performed independently, an important aspect is fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with AHS managers, HR networks and service centres, and Union representatives.
