Job Description

The purpose of this position is to perform day to day maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff, and tenants.Tasks & Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Complete daily inspections of the property
  • Monitor the property for health & safety or liability concerns and act accordingly to rectify the concern. (i.e. Situations that may pose “slip & fall” incidents)
  • Ensure that specific areas of the property are in proper condition for inspections
  • Remove ice and snow from entrances, walkways and other areas as may be required
  • Notify direct supervisor of required repairs needed in a timely manner
  • Conduct any necessary minor repairs to the property
  • Preserve the “curb appeal” of the property ensuring the overall appearance of the
property is maintained to a high standard
  • Respond to tenant(s) concerns in a timely manner
  • Assist groups with “set-up” and “tear-down” of materials
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the operation supervisor and/or property manager
Skills & Experience Required:The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Minimum of High School Graduation Diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar field (preference for retail)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate in French and English
  • Good written communication skills either in French or English
  • Be self-motivated, diplomatic and reliable
  • Familiar with applicable health & safety legislation (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, etc.) would be an asset
  • Ability to operate power tools and perform minor repairs
  • Knowledge of a trade a definite asset
  • Willingness to learn and be a “team oriented” individual
  • Must be able to provide Clear Criminal Background Certificate
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload
Physical demands:
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs., ability to stand, walk and bend for periods of time
  • Working with various workplace chemicals
  • Shoveling, sweeping and being outside during all times of the years
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $15.00-$16.00 per hourBenefits:

  • 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Bathurst, NB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
