Job Description

Atlantic Grocery Distributors Ltd. is currently looking for a candidate to join the team as a Ships Chandler Assistant.If you are looking for an exciting environment and have an outstanding passion for Customer Service, the AGD team is the place for you!Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Key various boat orders
  • Obtain an extensive knowledge of various products
  • Work directly with inside and outside sales, as well as Ships Chandlers to provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Source product from outside locations when necessary
  • Report to Ships Chandlers on a daily/weekly basis
  • Become 100% proficient in all aspects of Power Net, including data entry, and modifying orders
  • Provide quotes on various products
  • Review customer orders by product category to identify opportunities for add-ons and increased customer sales penetration
  • Ensure all unavailable items have acceptable substitutions
  • Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule
  • All other related duties as assigned by the Sales Manager
Key Job Requirements:
  • Sales experience (preferably food related)
  • Able to prioritize efficiently Must have solid computer knowledge
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational & communications skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills, a person who can tackle challenges and get the job done
  • Have a high regard for personal responsibility and willingness to take initiative
