Your mission is to lead our Quality Assurance team in our commitment to uphold ISO9001 standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of 4 Quality Assurance Specialists who play a key role in ensuring Calian #39;s commitment to quality is reflected in all our product and service offerings. Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, Risk and Compliance you will join a team where your dedication to quality standards is highly valued by us and our clients.This is an on-site or hybrid opportunity at our office in Saskatoon, SK.ResponsibilitiesLeadership

• Lead and coordinate system assurance programs, including internal management system audits, audit reports, and corrective actions
• Planning and allocation of QA resources for proposals, project assurance, and system assurance activities
• Facilitate career development and learning opportunities and discussions within your team
• Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Managers within Calian, building a supportive network

Quality Assurance

• Manage and maintain ISO 9001 certification through communication with ISO 9001 Registrar and annual audits
• Perform system assurance audits and project assurance activities as required
• Promote client satisfaction by ensuring that contractual requirements are fulfilled
• Engage with clients and suppliers, including senior management, to ensure quality requirements are met
• Collaborate with project managers and functional managers to drive process improvement
• Evolve and maintain quality management system procedures and provide guidance on their implementation

Budgetary

• Prepare and recommend departmental budgets, and report against approved budgets to ensure resources are effectively managed
• Review and approve all proposals as it relates to QA

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology or related field and/or combination of experience
• Registered with APEGS as a Professional Engineer in good standing is considered an asset
• Minimum of 5+ years in progressive quality assurance management roles
• Demonstrated leadership experience in quality assurance management
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management system standards and experience conducting quality system audits
• Experience in a design engineering and manufacturing environment
• Experience in the aerospace or defence industries is considered an asset
• You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
• You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
