Job Description

We are looking for a Seasonal Merchandiser to join our Field Sales team.Seasonal Merchandisers report directly to a Sales Manager and work within our big box retailers, such as Home Depot, Rona+, Rona and Reno Depot. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities Merchandisers execute merchandising directives and establish a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, and relay information to Scotts Sales team regarding inventory opportunities.This a contract position with a start date of April 17th, and ends in July 26th. Typical weekday shift is 7am - 3:30pm. Weekday shifts are flexible. Weekend shifts may be required (Saturday 10am-2pm) from mid April to end of May. Average hours of work per week: 12 - 16Key Work Performed:

  • Merchandise Scotts products including restocking shelves, racks, and displays; cleaning and facing product; repairing or removing damaged items, etc.
  • Drive in-store sales in conjunction with Scotts Sales Manager
  • Assemble fixtures and displays in-store.
  • Install and maintain point of purchase materials.
  • Provide recommendations and product knowledge to both consumers and retail customer associates.
  • Provide consumer product education.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Strong initiative, self-directed, reliable and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb a step grip ladder up to 4m (12ft), handle some heavy lifting (implying bending, kneeling) and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in/outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends

  • Live within 25 kms of 707 Circle Dr E (HD 7051) Saskatoon, SK
  • Current valid Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record which meets company criteria.
  • Must have access to a car during work hours or reliable transportation
  • Must have access to a computer, printing capabilities, smart phone
  • Must have Steel Toe boots/shoes (green patch)
