Job Description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Coordinator will provide day to day support and assistance to the MRO Procurement team, as well as back-up support to Procurement Specialist (coverage). Other duties include but are not limited to procurement of requisitioned goods and expediting goods to site for LVPOamp; Punchout Catalogues. This position will require coordination and communication with both internal and external parties. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Purchase Materials and Services on behalf of KSPC :

  • Process orders in SAP (MM) which may include ad hoc requisitions, outline agreements, purchases from material number info records, and source lists
  • Prioritize work based on criticality and time-based requirements
  • Bundle purchasing needs to support standardized buying activities based on the direction of the Senior Procurement Specialist
  • Analyze vendor capabilities versus requirements and research new suppliers
  • Evaluate existing suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and supplier #39;s track record
  • Negotiate, or renegotiate with suppliers or vendors
  • Consult with departments across KSPC to understand technical specifications and product requirements
  • Train end users on the LVPO process, as necessary
  • Identify LVPO errors, notify end users and resolve issues
  • Procure Tool Crib requirements over the $7500 limit of LVPO
Manage the expediting function on behalf of KSPC:
  • Review and accept Order Confirmations within SAP
  • Send out Order Acknowledgement reminders
  • Maintain the Expediting email address, and distribute tasks accordingly
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods, closely monitoring critical and long lead time shipments
  • Expedite orders prior to due date to ensure delivery dates will be met
  • Expedite past due orders and update delivery dates in the Purchase Order
  • Develop relationships with end users, ensure they are informed when delivery dates will be delayed
  • Respond to end users queries on delivery dates
  • Track orders to site once handed over to carrier
  • Single point of contact for Custom clearances
Support Function for MRO Procurement Group:
  • Advise clearing agents of urgent orders requiring priority clearing at customs
  • Verify if materials on aging orders are still required, cancel if not required
  • Fill in and/or provide backup for Procurement Specialist, as required
  • Oversee Supplier Code of Conduct records and data log
  • Assist with Procurement and reporting related activities
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Engineering, Accountingamp; Finance, Warehouse and Logistics

  • Minimum 3 years #39; experience
  • College Diploma or University degree in Business, Accounting, Purchasing or related field
  • Certification preferred, including one of Supply Chain Certification., SCM Diploma, SCMP Designation, or equivalent
  • SAP MM and Ariba experience is a benefit
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing principles including the ability to research, analyze, negotiate, and close various types of purchase efforts within the guidelines of good business and ethical practices considered an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, including ERPs, Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work with internal and external suppliers in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within teams
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong organizational skills/detail oriented
