Job Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our manufacturing facility in Saskatoon, SK. Under the direction of the Quality Analyst Leadhand - Supply Chain, the Quality Control Inspector will perform inspections, tests, and audits on designated vendor supplied products to ensure procured product arriving at Brandt is conforming to all of Brandt #39;s requirements prior to being received and entered into our inventory and manufacturing systems.Required Skills

  • Excellent understanding and working experience with mathematical concepts such as probability and Statistical Inference, Statistical Process Control, and Six Sigma problem solving methods
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, procedures, quality manuals and standards, and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to think logical and critically to measure the pros and cons and make the most appropriate decisions quickly
  • Significant experience in performing quality inspections on supplied products and services
  • Complete familiarity with manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Experience operating manual CMM #39;s is beneficial
  • Ability to develop good rapport with the purchasing department, engineering, and manufacturing departments
  • Must possess great organizational and communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all Brandt staff
  • Must have complete knowledge of APQP documents like PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Milcerts, and other vendor supplied Quality documentation
