Job Description

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, assisting with the preparation of the company #39;s Financial Statements under IFRS, and other financial analysis as necessary. The Senior Accountant will work with various members of the Finance team for systemsamp; process improvements that will optimize the Finance function of the business. This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth global tech company in the heart of Saskatoon as it enters its next phase of growth and innovation.Your ImpactAs a Senior Accountant you #39;ll work with the finance team to:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS
  • Prepare management reports including variance analysis and trending reports
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts and year-end working papers
  • Review invoice/expense reports and produce reports for payment processing
  • Assist with preparation of any external audits or independent reviews being conducted and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare compliance documents, government claims and schedules for external stakeholders
  • Liaise with members of finance team to improve financial procedures and streamline processes
  • Assist with improvements to internal controls
What You Bring to the TableAs the Senior Accountant, you will bring to the table a Bachelor #39;s degree in Accounting or a related field-CPA designation considered an asset, with 2+ years of experience in professional accounting. Note that previous tech experience is considered an asset!
