Job Description

Service Support TechnicianLocation: SaskatoonAbout the Position:As a Service Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing frontline customer service and technical support to external clients and internal colleagues. Working with the Service Operations Manager, you will learn to communicate, investigate, plan, and support both internal and external customers over the phone, by email and using remote access software. Key responsibilities:

  • Answer internalamp; external phone calls and email.
  • Investigate hardware and software issues through root cause analysis.
  • Document solutionsamp; actions taken.
  • Plan and deploy short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Provide thorough documentation using IRD’s ticket system(s).
  • Escalate Support Requests to Tier 2
RequirementsQualifications:Educationamp; Experience
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background in IT or a Technology related field.
  • 2 or more years working in a Support Services/Help Desk environment.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with SQL or running SQL queries.
  • Experience with several help desk tools and access control systems.
  • Experience with Jira or Atlassian Products an asset.
Other:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical decision-making abilities.
  • Customer Driven.
