Job Description

Join Our Team as a Financial Controller in BellevilleWe are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to oversee our Canadian finance operations from our Belleville office, contributing to our position as a global leader in recreational and leisure equipment. This role offers a mix of in-office and remote work under a flexible hybrid schedule, emphasizing a balance that accommodates professional and personal needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Manage general ledger, financial statements accuracy, and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Spearhead tax reporting, internal and external audits, and liaise with various business units to enhance financial risk controls.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial processes in collaboration with headquarters and shared services.
  • Supervise and mentor a Financial Analyst, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on performance management and development.
RequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in financial accounting, including at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in public accounting is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a capability to manage conflicts and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a knack for handling confidential information and a fast-paced work environment.
