Job Description

Our Human Resource Representative is tasked with ensuring that our company culture welcomes a diverse population and supports each person in achieving career goals within the organization.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Keeps job descriptions up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, provincial and local laws for all positions
  • Maintains employee files and ensures all credentials/competencies are current and updated in each employee file
  • Develops training and performance management program that ensures all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, as well as relevant legal and safety requirements
  • Develops strategies for employee retention and plan(s) to implement these strategies
  • Creates and updates compensation strategy through market analysis and pay surveys
  • Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts
  • Identify ways to improve policies and procedures
  • Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, provincial and local regulation
  • May be required to provide assistance with scheduling of staff
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business with a focus on Human Resource management preferred. Other combinations of education and experience in Human Resource field may be considered.
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a manner compliant with relevant employment law
  • Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork
  • Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data to guide strategic planning
  • Must be highly dependable with excellent organization skills
  • Must demonstrate a compassionate attitude and a strong commitment to client service excellence
  • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm and maintain a sense of humor; and present a well-groomed professional image
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $17.00-$19.00 per hourBenefits:
