Job Description

Dutiesamp; Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on light and heavy equipment
  • Inspect for defective equipment and service equipment by checking and changing equipment fluids and filters as outlined in our Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Travel across the mine site to fuel, grease and service equipment in the field
  • Maintain service tools and equipment
  • Complete minor equipment repairs which may require using a hoist and/or support equipment
  • Cross train in the wash bay for maintenance repairs using high pressure water cannons and/or high-pressure steam
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Valid Class 1A or 3A License is required
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift rotations, both days and nights, in all weather conditions
  • Previous heavy equipment operator or maintenance experience is an asset
This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working day and night shifts from 6:00 to 6:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off.The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.Other details
