Job Description

Full Time Hours, 6-Month Contract (November 2022 – May 2023)The purpose of this position is to take over all client communication from the Sales Manager once a signed contract and first deposit has been received. All Internal meetings will be handled by the Group Services Account Manager. The Account Manager plans and arranges group details using the group’s agenda as a guideline. Group details may include: lodging, indoor function room, outdoor venues, food and beverage, on-site recreation/activities and Audio Visual.WHAT WILL I BE DOING
  • Plan all group details (including agenda, audio visual, meeting room set ups, menu selections, lodging information, recreation, outdoor venue spaces)
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience in all areas (including food & beverage, lodging, recreation and by supporting our external partners (audio visual and group activities)
  • Create BEO’s, MEO’s, Lodging Summary Sheets with timely, detailed and accurate information based on the client’s expectations and vision
  • Ensure service departments are fully aware of the BEO and/or MEO details.
  • Liaise with outside suppliers who are involved in décor, transportation etc. Coordinate their set up.
  • Oversee special requirements as to the venue set up and required décor.
  • Up-sell any meals and extra services that we offer (remembering the required mark-up fee). ie. themes, activities, entertainment.
  • Conduct pre-event site inspections with clients
  • Build strong, positive and professional relationships with clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal operating departments
  • Greet and communicate with conveners and delegates daily during their stay
  • Follow internal processes on communication
  • Understand and uphold a high level of service excellence
  • Follow up post-event on outstanding issues and for feedback from the client.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU
  • University Degree or College Diploma In Hospitality Management
  • Experience in the Hospitality/Meeting Planning Industry required (2 yrs)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, E-mail
  • Knowledge of Delphi, Cenuim or other resort sales and catering software preferred
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage/Banquet or recreation environment preferred
  • Knowledge of resort atmosphere
