Job Description

Great Opportunity for Students-(Must be 14 years of age)This position ensures that we are able to provide support and assistance to the Room Attendants and Public Space team to prepare hotel rooms and areas for guest arrivals. The Linen Runner is responsible for preparing guest rooms for cleaning by stripping linens from beds; stripping terry from washrooms; removing garbage and recycling from rooms; transporting linen/garbage to and from lock-ups.WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME

WHAT WILL I BE DOING
  • Providing exemplary customer and employee experience by meeting our four service promises: engaging each guest; providing enthusiastic, friendly service; anticipating guest needs; and taking ownership.
  • Expected to adhere to all Blue Mountain Resort standards that relate to Hygiene and Grooming, Health and Safety, Fire, Accommodations, Guestroom standards and guest interactions.
  • Provide assistance to the Room Attendants by stripping linens and terry from the guest rooms, emptying and removing garbage and recycling. Includes removing garbage and linen from Room Attendant carts. Also may include making beds in clean rooms.
  • Deliver products to Guest Room when required (Tootbrush, Towels, Robes.... etc )
  • Help with guest luggage when required
  • Provide assistance to the Housekeeping Team by transporting garbage/linen from lock-ups to appropriate garbage/linen rooms.
  • When needed, prepare and deliver clean bagged linen to and from sheds to appropriate units in order for the room attendants to clean the room.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU
  • Perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through and cooperativeness.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs from floor to waist at least 25 times per day.
  • Push carts and pull equipment on a regular and continuing basis throughout the day.
  • Stand and walk for up to 7.5 hours per day. The majority of the day is spent on your feet.
  • Able to climb at least 2 flights of stairs up to 8 times per day.
  • Must be able to be outside in hot or cold weather (dressed appropriately) periodically throughout the day.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, Xmas Break and holidays
