If you are driven by the desire to cultivate strong community connections, enjoy being a brand ambassador, and share our vision and values, then, we encourage you to apply for this exceptional opportunity. “WE DO THE RIGHT THING” “WE DO WHAT WE SAY” “WE GO THE EXTRA MILE” “WE WORK TOGETHER” JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Heavy Haul Lowboy / Winch Truck Driver is responsible for transporting heavy equipment (Excavators, Graders, Loaders, Scrapers, Dozers, Rock trucks, Tractors and Packers, etc.) to various work sites across Western Provinces by operating a tractor and lowboy (w/jeep, boosters) equipment trailers. OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIESTransporting pipe and heavy equipment by operating a tractor and lowboy (combination jeep, booter) equipment trailers throughout various job sites in Alberta Ensuring loads are secure by utilizing chains, tarps, as required. General maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle as required - daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks. Maintaining electronic logbooks, field level hazard assessments and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner Keep the truck in clean condition. Participate in toolbox and safety meetings. Working with other members of the team in a professional manner to ensure we provide the best service possible to internal and external clients.REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of five years transporting heavy equipment with multi axle (jeeps/boosters/trailers) Experience with GPS systems an asset. Must have a valid class 1 driver #39;s license with air brake endorsement – candidate to provide a clean 5-year commercial driver #39;s abstract. Demonstrated ability, with extensive experience operating winch tractor, wheeler trailer and scissor neck trailers. Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment and transport regulation within the oil and gas industry. Willingness to work long hours including weekends. Able to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Must be fit-for-duty. Must be able to pass pre-employment alcohol, drug and marijuana testing. Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada. Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check.
