Job Description

Job Title: Group Living Support Services Coordinator Job Type: Full-Time, Term – Maternity Leave 12 months to 18 months – To Start May 2024Salary: $32.91/hrExpected Hours: 35hrs per weekQualifications:A degree/diploma in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services or related discipline.Must have three (3) or more years of progressive management experience working with people who have developmental and / or physical disabilities.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fulfill the role of Group Living Support Services Coordinator. In this position, you will play a vital role in the development, coordination, and delivery of support services to individuals within our organization. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Operational Planning and Development:

  • Contribute to the development of operational and service delivery plans aligned with the agency’s goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish operational procedures, communication plans, and implementation strategies, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
Staffing and Resource Management:
  • Lead staffing and human resource planning efforts related to Group Living Support Services.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, orientation, performance planning, assessment/evaluation, and professional development activities.
Leadership and Support:
  • Provide guidance and support to team leaders, practitioners, and administrative staff to facilitate effective service delivery.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth among team members.
Community Engagement and Advocacy:
  • Establish and maintain a network of resources to support service development and enhance the agency’s profile within the community.
  • Advocate for the agency, its services, and the individuals supported, while effectively managing conflicts and issues as they arise.
Documentation and Communication:
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, ensuring timely reporting and communication with stakeholders.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with individuals, families, staff, and community representatives.
  • Review and process time sheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and approve overtime worked and staff time off requests.
  • Input completed maintenance requests into maintenance matrix.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and Teams efficiently for documentation, communication, and collaboration purposes.
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of Individual Service Plans in collaboration with individuals and their support networks.
Other Responsibilities:

  • Supervise practicum students and volunteers, as needed.
  • Organize and coordinate maintenance services to ensure the safety and functionality of group living facilities.
