Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Assistant with experience.Job Status: Part-time PositionReports To:Pharmacist in Charge, Pharmacy Manager, or Pharmacy Owner.Date: October/November 2022About Bracebridge Pharmacy:At Bracebridge Pharmacy, we strive to be so much more than a retail pharmacy. We deliver prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner, but serving retail customers is only part of what makes us an exceptional pharmacy. We are a unique independent pharmacy in Bracebridge located inside South Muskoka Medical Centre. We work along a great team of physicians and family practitioners in town. We take pride in what we do and we look forward to working with new staff members that will continue to reflect that image and service to our clients for many years to come. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process all refill prescriptions electronically requested and check IVR voicemail messages.
  • Contact prescribers verbally or via fax for clarifications and various functions.
  • Process invoices received from the wholesaler and print them to be ready once the order is received.
  • Process weekly batching, printing hard copy reports, and new refill authorization.
  • Enter new or changed prescriptions in blister packs.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist on duty to provide efficient dispensary and pharmacy services.
Specific Requirements:
  • Experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an option.
  • Exceptional and professional customer service to our clients, and members of the care team, ensuring superb service at all times.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with the pharmacy team.
Preferred:
  • Available weekends hours.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) in good standing, is optional.
  • Experienced Pharmacy Assistant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy.
  • Experience in the billingamp; third-party adjudication, ideal on Kroll, but not a must.
  • Some knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is optional.
