Cook Roles & Responsibilities
  • Organize and complete daily prep lists provided
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies (mise en place)
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure food orders are completed in the correct order, simultaneously, in a timely fashion
  • Maintain the highest quality standards of food and presentation
  • Follow recipes and standards consistently and accurately
  • Comply with nutrition, FOODSAFE and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a positive & professional approach with coworkers and restaurant guests. We like to have fun and work hard!
  • Report to and follow instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef
  • Clean up stations, replenish and take care of leftover food correctly
  • Complete day to day cleaning tasks, help with deep cleaning when needed
  • Help your teammates out

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment required
  • Passion for food, and knowledge of local, seasonal and organic ingredients
  • Highly professional & reliable, with a positive attitude
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, fun kitchen
  • Ability to work weekends, statutory holidays
  • Ability to communicate comfortably in English, both oral and written
As Fergies is located in Brackendale just outside of Squamish, you must have means of making your way here rain or shine, bike or car!Recommended Training:
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 by Distance Education
  • Salary/Wage: Starting at $18/hr
