  • Demonstrable experience in an IT Manager role or similar IT Management position
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with all shared services teams, especially finance to deliver the EU IT region budget each financial year.
  • Have a strong technical IT background
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud/networking technology
  • Have a good understanding of software/hardware licencing for budget requirements
Key ResponsibilitiesDue to recent promotions we are looking to appoint a new IT Manager. Reporting directly to the Group IT Manager the applicant will continue to provide a responsive IT service that enables our operations and supporting functions to operate effectively.The candidate must work closely with our European operations to understand the needs of the business, communicate and collaborate as efficiently as possible. You will also support the European IT team in continuing a high level of service through our global service desk platform, ensure all housekeeping tasks and regional projects are completed on time.This represents a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company with a great reputation in a friendly and collaborative team.Duties will involve:Strategic:
  • Understanding the business needs through collaboration and communication with the European management team.
  • Responsible for the delivery of an effective and disciplined ITSM.
  • Manage European annual budget and ensure controlled, cost effect spend is adhered to and within the guidance of agreed business needs
  • Work with suppliers to ensure pricing is competitive, and all IT products are fit for purpose and able to be managed and maintained over a suitable lifecycle.
  • Manage information technology systems across the European region including planning and organization of all IT assets
  • Identify problematic areas of IT service and implement strategic solutions
Managerial:
  • Supply chain/Logistics Management
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and developing employees including job expectations and carrying out performance reviews.
  • Work with the team to maximise effective performance and achievable targets set by the Group IT Manager, adhering to guidance, policy and procedure where applicable.
Operational:
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand the business needs in the European region
  • Point of contact for the European team for all office moves, migrations, upgrades, closures
  • Technical and managerial support for Europe IT staff
  • Project Manager for European and some globally based IT projects
  • Occasional need to handle Service Desk tickets and escalation point for other senior staff.
