If you’re looking to work in an exciting environment where growth is welcomed and personal development is supported, consider the following opportunity to join our team.Job Summary & Responsibilities: The role of the Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator works within a production team of 20 or more workers. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in distribution, or manufacturing environment. The individual will be responsible for planning, documenting and communicating shipments and all shipping priorities with all parties. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify efficient shipment plans based on customer due dates and communicate shipping priorities with the Shop Coordinator.
  • Arrange loads and coordinate transportation with Channel owned vehicles and/or outside carriers. Ensure transportation resources (ie Tractors, Trailers ect) are utilized most efficiently to minimize total delivery costs, while adhering to customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with drivers, plant, and customers to ensure the delivery process for materials and products are efficient as possible.
  • Identify and communicate priorities for loading of trucks with the Shop Coordinator.
  • Responsible for documentation to and from drivers.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Coordinator regarding reporting of damaged purchased products.
  • Coordinate with Management and Shop Coordinator for transferring of products to and from offsite warehouse.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years experience in distribution, or manufacturing environment
  • Forklift experience required - indoor/outdoor
  • Experience in shipping, logistics or customs an asset
  • Knowledge of material procedures, inventory control, cycle counting, shipping & receiving, and warehousing an asset
