About Kumi Canada CorporationKumi Canada is a Teir-1 supplier to the automotive industry, with locations worldwide and class-leading design, product development, manufacturing, and automation capabilities. Located in Bradford Ontario, our operation specializes in the manufacture of interior and exterior trim assemblies for the automotive industry, using innovative injection molding and automated production systems.We are currently seeking hard working individuals with a positive attitude who will uphold our values of safety, respect, and continuous learning.Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PMStart Date: ImmediatelyPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the scheduling and overall supervision and coordination of Assembly associates and activities. Responsible for critical parts follow up. Works with other departments to ensure daily Assembly targets and quality standards are achieved.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain daily communication with associates
  • Responsible for supervising, training, and coordinating Assembly associates
  • Responsible for coaching Assembly associates on performance, quality, attendance issues, Health & Safety and completing corresponding documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining consist recognition, discipline, overtime distribution and timely responses to associate concerns
  • Responsible for the coordination of multiple department schedules that impact production
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed and Operators have received adequate training
  • Must manage timesheets, and coordinate vacation and absences ensuring necessary coverage
  • Play an active role in Continuous Improvement projects as required
  • Participate in team problem solving and preventive/corrective action as required, specifically root cause analysis
ADDITIONAL RESPOSIBILITIES:
  • May perform Management duties in their absence
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts
  • Assist with establishing training, operation, and packaging standards
  • Assist with New Model start up activities
  • Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years experience in a Supervisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Proven experience with training and development, conflict resolution, and coordinating large teams
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Skilled in attention to detail, organization, and priority management
  • Highly proficient at fast-paced coordination and decision making during constant change
  • Willingness to work off-shift or overtime when necessary
